My wife fell behind while walking in the mall, and when I turned to find her she told me, “I tripped on the in-between.”

This is the second time today someone has said something to me that recalled a lyric from a band my teenaged self was very ‘into’… “Two worlds and an in-between.”
You didn’t say what an “in-between” was/is, I was wanting to know!
Actually, she finished the sentence with “spaces in the tile,” but there was enough of a pause that the first part of the phrase stuck in my head. And the River of Stones project is all about the experience of the moment! 😉
