Bill Roorbach’s Life Among Giants, which officially releases on November 13, has been named to Amazon’s “Best Book of the Month” list.
Congrats to Bill!
If that’s not enough to convince to you to buy the book right this minute, check out my review of the book. And if that still doesn’t do the trick, tune in this coming week, when I’ll post my interview with Bill Roorbach here on the blog!
Thanks for the recommendation – I’ll check it out.
Speaking of interviews, I have now posted yours.

Your mention of Sarah Rose Etter’s ‘Husband Feeding’ reminded me that I had written a ‘lithopoema’ back in 2010 entitled ‘on being eaten’, which coincidentally used the image of being eaten by a lover as its central metaphor. It’s not an original image, of course, having been used time and time again by various writers. It occurred to me that I might have missed it from my on-line archive of Lthopoesis, so I dug it out. The reason I had neglected it was because I revised and re-drafted it as free verse in order to include it in submissions to somewhere-or-other. Anyhow, it now sits amongst its fellow block poems.

Once again, forgive me for blogging on your blog. 🙂

Sweet! On all counts! Egoistically reading my interview now, and then your block poem (I need to do some writing, so here’s to inspiration!).
It’s a cracking good interview, Sam. You managed to get something out of the questions I came up with (and it WAS a struggle to frame them, because this site is so informative). Anyhow, I like this process, this cross-pump-priming. As Fred almost says in the first ‘Scooby Doo’ movie – “Community. I do a lot of community.”
