Gear up, folks! Today, I have a new story online, my flash piece “The Things We Said We Never Heard” over at the excellent WhiskeyPaper. (The editors’ enthusiastic acceptance email was AWESOME. They even wished me a “happy publication day” when they sent me the link this morning. I think that just became my new favorite holiday! Thanks a million,ย Loran Smith and Leesa Cross-Smith!)
But wait, I’m not done yet! Stay tuned next weekend(ish), when I’ll have another new story up online, and then, on Sept. 18, I’m reading on stage at the Blue Monk in Portland.
And in the meantime: write on!
Nice one.
Thanks!
Congrats on all the new work! I’m headed over there now.
Awesome! Hope you like it. ๐
Good Stuff!
Just as a exercise in brevity – IF you had to cut it by 27 words to bring it to an exact 500 words, what would you choose to delete?
You ask the coolest questions! I wrote a long reply to your editing question the other day but my computer ate it — still meaning to get back to that.
I’ll think about this and get back to you. (We’re off to a JASNA tea right now.) Stat tuned!
Very cool! Also reminds me of conversations between me and Dad and thinking about what we thought was said to each other. lol
I write from experience, Mom! ๐
Ever thought of standing still for a moment? ๐
Next weekend, too! Keep an eye out. ๐
