A word about the delays in posts lately

Hello, gang. Chances are, if you’re one of the dozen people who subscribe to this blog, you might have noticed that some of the posts these past few weeks have been pretty long delayed in turning up online or in your RSS reader. That’s not WordPress’s fault. See, I’ve been on the road, driving from Texas to Oregon, through eight states in five days, and while I have managed to grab a few wifi connections along the way, I’ve been pretty exhausted and have been giving myself time to post the things I’ve been writing on the road.

But rest assured, I have been writing. While the posts haven’t turned up till recently, the dates are still correct — I have been writing on the road.

And now I’m settling into Portland, Oregon, my new home for the foreseeable future. As I make my way around the city and start learning the ropes of my new hometown, I’m guessing my posts will still be a bit scattered and less verbose, so keep hanging in there and checking the RSS feeds even if I haven’t posted anything in a while. On the other hand, I’m loving this city and my new neighborhood already and expect I’ll have a LOT to write about in the coming weeks, months, years…. So look for new, more frequent posts soon!

Thanks for sticking around through the dry spell. If you’re a regular reader, you’re awesome. 🙂
